Bryianna Ruffin: Mommy, Girls-Girl, and Entrepreneur turned Author—— released her very first book on December 5th, 2025 entitled Yuri’s FirstThe novel, written by Ruffin as a way to commemorate her daughter and instill financial freedom, is a sweet, vibrant picture book that follows Baby Yuri through the magical moments of her very first birthday! From cheerful wake-ups and smiley-face breakfasts to splashy bath time, cute outfits, family fun, and a big birthday party, every page glows with warmth, color, and joy. The book in itself is impressive enough, but more so is the woman behind the vision. To introduce herself, in her own words, is none other than the sensational and multi-talented, Bryianna Ruffin:

In May 2024, with the birth of my daughter Yuri, I started learning some of the most important lessons of my life. The ultimate takeaway is that a child’s first anything— whether it’s their first cry, laugh, smile, word, crawl, step, holiday, or even a birthday— those moments are priceless. To my fellow moms— take tons of pictures, create a scrapbook, and protect all your keepsakes with your life, because you will literally only get those first moments once.

By the way, I’m Bryianna Ruffin, a newly published Black author and entrepreneur from Chesapeake, Virginia. In 2015, I graduated from Chowan University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Creative Writing. I’m a lover of all things pink or green, a female rap connoisseur, an aesthete, and a true “girl’s girl.” But first and foremost, I’m a mother with hopes of creating generational wealth for my daughter and instilling in her all the tools she will need to overcome any obstacle she may face. With this book, I hope to inspire all mothers around the world to position their young girls for a prosperous future.

Our beautiful little girls are the future.

It’s time that we set the tone.

Yours Truly, Bryianna
